Something Blue Sunday: Birdcage Veils

Are you still trying to figure out where to add that "something blue" into your wedding day?  How about incorporating the color in a simple, yet stylish manner?  With a blue birdcage veil.

I love this classy bridal look!

Or you can always go with a more subtle look, with the use of blue accented bobby pins.

Cute Wedding Kiddos

A week ago, we learned of the heartbreaking events that took place at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, CT.  The mere thought of 20 innocent children (and 6 adults) being murdered was more than wanted to imagine.

So, today, we're taking time out to remember children... the joy they bring, the smiles they create and they way they always "steal the show" (especially at weddings).

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of the children and adults that lost their lives last week:

Winter Wedding Cake Inspiration

During this season, I can't help but to think often about winter wedding ideas (possibly because I was a winter bride myself).  However, a winter theme doesn't have to only mean the use of poinsettia, snowflakes or evergreen trees.

These gold and white cakes show a few ways that you can still imply a "winter wedding" theme, without being too literal or cliche'.

Another option... Gold accented cupcake-tinis!!!

Wedding Rewind

As the saying goes, "everything old is new again"!  That's certainly true for this blast-from-the-past idea of using cassette tapes as escort cards.  Too cute!  I'd love to design a wedding around this throwback theme!

Hot Chocolate Bar

These days you can find a variety of unique "bars" at wedding receptions (and we don't just mean the type that serve alcohol).  I'm sure you've seen the ever-so-popular candy bar, with a table full of candy that turns every adult guest into a little kid again.  There's also the mini dessert bar, cookie bar, popcorn bar... Oh you get the picture!

Well with the cooler weather upon us, winter brides might consider incorporating a Hot Chocolate Bar into their reception.  It serves as a thoughtful, late-night treat for guests to take with them as they make their way through the weather and back to their cars.

Attach chocolate onto sticks... then just add warm milk!

But, don't forget the toppings...

....And the side treats!

Sip and ENJOY!!!

A Day To Remember: 12~12~12

Well, it's here... 12/12/12!!!!  And possibly the most special of these 12-years of "triple digit" wedding dates, because it marks the final one of the century.  Beginning with 01/01/01, brides and grooms have scrambled to book venues and vendors for those popular dates!  And after today, that trend will be over.

So, who are the lucky ones getting married on 12-12-12???  We'd like to give a triple "Congrats, Congrats, Congrats" to you! :-)

Mirror, Mirror

These days, it seems that photographers are always on a mission to come up with unique shots and fun ways of capturing memories of the wedding day.  There are a few photos that catch my eye and make me smile.  This is one such photo....

Something Blue Sunday: Burlap Bridesmaid Bag

Check out this cute burlap bag that you and your bridal party can tote around.  Best part is that it can be personalized with your wedding colors/theme, monogrammed or even re-sized (in case you want to give your flower girl a scaled down version).

Bridesmaid Dress Inspiration

"Yes, Yes, Yes" to this frilly, fun little number that your bridesmaids can wear down the aisle.... and then again for a night out!

The Groom's Ring :-O

Just sharing a little something funny today.  These pictures simply crack me up!!!  A fun play on the bride showing off her ring... because no one ever seems to gush over the Groom's ring!

Red Winter Wedding Tablescape

Does this tablescape say "elegant winter wedding" or what?  The red rose centerpieces next to the candle sticks of varying heights, all situated on white linens is just beautiful!

Clouds and Rainbows

It's gloomy outside in SoCal and (being spoiled by the sun) the gray skies usually bug me.  But, in fact, I'm in a cheerful mood despite the blah weather.  That got me thinking about the trend I'm seeing with bridesmaids wearing a classic "little black dress" (LBD) but mixing it with bright, cheerful pops of color in the bouquets and shoes.  It love how each bridesmaid gets to stand out in a special way, despite the dresses being a basic black.

And this colorful concept looks just as nice with the "little WHITE dress" as well.

Diamonds and Pearls

Maybe you're looking to add a handmade keepsake to personalize your wedding.  If so, this faux crystal and pearl bouquet (and boutonniere) is a pretty little option.  For an extra bit of pizazz, have your florist add in a few fresh floral stems to accent your jeweled beauty.
