Today was unusually scorching here in San Diego. And, as with most every random thought of mine, my mind wandered to something wedding-related. So, as I turned the fan on "high", I immediately pictured guests awaiting the bride's arrival as they sat miserably in the beaming sun. Now that's a horrible scene to have on your wedding day!
Yes, we all love warm sunny weather, but I'm certain that you don't want your guests to be uncomfortable. So, if you're planning an outdoor wedding (especially in the summer), be sure to consider ways of keeping your family and friends cool and comfortable.
Consider these options:
Rent umbrellas to create shade or have a basket of parasols for guests to grab on the way to their seats.
Arrange for a water station containing chilled bottles
or dispensers filled with cucumber and fruit-infused water
Fans can be placed on each seat and they also serve as a special keepsake.
But, in addition to keeping your guests cool, don't forget to keep them protected as well. Cute little monogrammed bottles of sunscreen are a nice and thoughtful touch.

Great ideas!! I can utilize these tips as suggestions to my couples who are in HOTlanta. There aren't too many outdoor weddings during the summer months but spring & fall still have record highs in Atlanta & these "nice & thoughtful touches" will add comfort. Many thanks!
